Description: |
| A collar sliding on the "fixed" handle of the pliers forms the basis of the locking toggle. The "movable" handle has a lock-release lever. The tool is designed for one-handed operation. This patent is identified with the sliding collar on the GRIPLOCK No. 910 in a February 1966 ad. This patent together with 2,531,285 and 2,576,286 are cited on the Channellock 910 Grip-Lock locking pliers. Further aspects of the tool described in pat. nos. 3,545,315 and 3,545,316 closely match components of the production version. |
