| The adjustable tongs has interchangeable jaw elements for cutting pipe, turning pipe, and flats for nuts and bolts. The pipe jaw and pipe cutter jaws have adjustment screws. This patent includes a jaw insert to fill in the hook jaw when converted to operate as a nut wrench.
Examples of wrenches marked with this patent date actually correspond to the L.O. Veber Aug. 10, 1875 patent (no. 166,665).
