Description: |
| Shailer's intent is to address perceived difficulties with double threaded (i.e. "fine"), as well as single threaded ("coarse"), lead screws when used with double-twist augers. He proposes to double thread only the tip of the lead screw, to aid accurate starts, followed by single threading, to help maximize its grip on the material. |
