Description: |
|
A very interesting butt gage patent from Stanley's Christian
Bodmer, which is a precursor to his more famous patents of 1911
(985,389, 985,504) produced by the Stanley Rule & Level
Company.
This patent marks the first appearance of the "lipped" casting that
allows the butt gage to be used as a square, but it does not
automatically account for the hinge gain like his later patents do.
