| Description: |  | The adjustable jaw has teeth that engage corresponding teeth on the face of the shank, and the adjustment is held by a sliding wedge on the back side of the wrench. The wrench is comprised of only three parts. 
Known example has a nail claw on the end of the handle. It is marked PAT OCT 26 1869 cast in the back of the head and nail claw.  The wedge does not have the back side lug shown in the patent drawing. |  |
