Stan Schulz Improved Wrench in Oct. 2 1875 SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN
Description: |
| The screw adjustment is backed up by the cam action of the handle. The patent focuses on the adjustment, and describes the wrench in use either as a pipe or nut wrench. The spring acts to back the movable jaw away from the work piece.
P.A. Samuel's British patent GB-196500457 registered Feb. 17, 1865 appears to be an earlier version of the screw-adjusting portion of the overall design. |
