| Description: | | The design features a "T" handle, fixed jaw, and threaded shaft with a flat on which the movable jaw screws in and out. The movable jaw's position is held by a set screw. The wrench is primarily designed as a plumber's spud-nut wrench; it is not strong enough for heavy work.
Known example marked J. RILEY PAT. FEBR. 29, 1876.
Ken Cope's "American Wrench Makers 1830-1930" identifies Riley as the manufacturer. | |
