        Description: |
| This improvement to North's January 11, 1876 patent (no. 172,155) replaces the rack and pawl adjustment with a screw-adjustment. The base for the adjusting screw is slid on to the handle and "crimped" into a notch in the shank casting before the "loop" portion of the handle is expanded.
North's monkey wrenches cite both patents. |
