Description: |
| The combination of the double acting spring and forged frame produce a lighter weight "Stillson" type pipe wrench that will grip with less exacting adjusting requirements. The forming and forging process for the frame is described in pat. no. 1,862,001. The patents represent a technical advance on Brungardt's 1929 pipe wrench design (pat. no. 1,711,083).
Early 1930s ads for the WALCO Pipe Wrench note some of these features along with heat treatment processes adopted by WALWORTH in the late 1920s. |
