The patent is for the combination of the square shank end, spring, and square hole which combine to create a hinge point for attaching a socket wrench head to a brace handle. The socket portion is also described in pat. no. 1,243,860.
Advertised in 1915 and produced as the UTILITY folding brace wrench. Later production shortened the handle, and fixed the socket to the brace. |
