| Description: | | The screwdriver blade can be rotated to a 90 degree angle to the handle for greater leverage. The reversible blade has a center slot which provides the range of motion needed to reverse the blade. The "bow" of the handle has a seat to hold the screwdriver blade when the blade is in line with the handle.
An April 1887 CARPENTRY & BUILDER write-up noted Parmelee was producing the screwdriver in three sizes. A known example is marked with the patent date. | |
