        Description: |
| The invention is for situations where a belt is to link a large pulley with a nearby small pulley. The large pulley is a standard, smooth, flat-belt pulley, but the small pulley has sprocket teeth, and the belt has suitably spaced holes to accept the sprocket teeth. The mechanism allows a much lower belt tension than would otherwise be required, with the attendant bearing wear. This invention has been seen on a W. F. & John Barnes Co. No. 4 tablesaw. |
