Description:
Adjustable jaw axle nut wrench with spring arms and hooks that clamp on to the wheel spokes. Alternate jaw adjustment means are clamping screws, or sliding wedge and key with teeth engaging teeth on the inner surface of the jaw.

A malleable iron nut wrench with the sliding jaw adjustment set by a sliding wedge key is assumed to refer to this patent. The wrench is marked "WEGNER WRENCH PAT."

Conceived as an improvement to the "fixed size sockets" style in Wegner's October 9, 1888 and April 22, 1890 patents (nos. 390,731 and 426,224).

Both styles are shown in Wegner's Oct. 22, 1889 Canadian patent (no. CA-32,581).
