Description: |
| Tool for manipulating cross chains for tire chains. The link spreading "beaks" are inboard from from the end of the jaws; the end of the jaws provide one link closing area, and the interior of the jaws provides a second link closing area.
Compare Henry St. Claire's Jan. 31, 1928 patent no. 1,657,978 which has differently shaped and oriented link closing areas.
