| Description: |  | These pliers open the jaws as the handles close. Plain wires fit through holes in the jaws, and clamp hose as they are drawn tight and twisted. One form of wire clamps suitable for use in these pliers is shown in patent no. 402,673 and related Canadian patent no. CA-30,988. 
A hose clamp pliers, coupling and wires matching these patents are shown in 1895 HARDWARE ads by C.E. HUDSON & CO of Leominster, MA; a March 1910 HARDWARE DEALER'S MAGAZINE feature that gives MONARCH HARDWARE CO. of Buffalo, NY as the manufacturer.
