Description: |
| A form of tongs with a "wrap-around" jaw structure that pivots from the handle, and is clamped and released by lever action of the handle. The gripping bit can be removed, rotated to expose a new edge, and sharpened.
Improvement on the January 11, 1876 W. Crumbie patent no. 171,999. Dunham's later patents ( no. 656,154 on August 14, 1900 and no 705,742 on July 29, 1902) represent different approaches. |
