Description: |
| The invention consists of a plane and a guide (referred to as a carrier) to hold a rattan workpiece and guide the plane along the rattan. The plane has two side cutters and a center grooving bit. It slices off a quarter section of rattan from the workpiece, tapers it, and works a groove in the center of the rattan section. The resultant rattan pieces are formed into whips. Overin was granted a patent on the whips 189954. |
