| Description: | | A cylinder tooth wrench with overall appearance similar to several contemporaries (e.g. 601,146, 644,676, 685,282, & 711,422). The unique feature is the form of the cylindrical pawl which can be turned to reverse the direction of the ratchet action.
W. H. George formed the EXCELSIOR THRESHER TOOTH COMPANY at Dexter, IA. The company's product line included cylinder tooth wrenches. A 1904 ad shows a wrench with silhouette matching this patent. See also 728,900 and 731,886 for other W. H. George cylinder tooth wrench designs. | |
