Description: |
Garrick's combination tool (U.S. patent 114,665) was produced by David Heaton & Co. of Providence, R.I. "William Robert Lake .. Southampton-buildings, London" was a British patent agent.
A version of this tool produced by W.L. Schlesinger & Co. of London appears to be reflected in provisional patent no. 98 of 1872.
Note: Early British patents (pre 1916) were numbered by the year and started at patent #1 at the start of each year in January. The patent # used in DATAMP represents the year of registration and the patent # (with "leading zeros" interposed to make the number total nine digits). This patent is #2,699 of the year 1871. |
