Description: |
| Chain pipe wrench with pivoting paired "V" shaped gripping jaws. One end of the chain attaches to the handle; the other end catches notches in one "arm" of the paired "V." Corresponding U.S. patent 822,017 was granted May 29, 1906.
A 1905 hardware trade journal description of the Roemer pipe tongs matches this patent; U.S. patent 871,958 granted Nov. 26, 1907 is a further evolution. |
