Stan Schulz IOWA PATENTED DISC WASHER - 1917 (FLICKR)
Description: |
| Examples of this tool are reported, marked only with the patent date. It appears in a 1917 full page color ad for the IOWA CREAM SEPARATOR in IMPLEMENT and TRACTOR JOURNAL, and is noted in period ads for the separator. The curved discs shown in the drawing were a feature of that brand of cream separator, and the disc holder was designed to coordinate with the center opening of those discs. The device has been incorrectly identified as a spinner for rope making in often repeated citations to a "worthpoint" listing. |
