        Description: |
|
A machinist-style scratch gage, which uses a jam-nut for holding
the arm. This is a great idea, and would hold firmly and be easy
	 to adjust.
I have come across several apparantly manufactured pieces which
use this locking mechanism, but none have been marked with the
patent date. Since this is a fairly obvious idea, I hesitate to
say that these pieces are based on this patent.
