Description: |
| Quick adjustment with fine rack teeth on the shank holding the movable jaw engaging a section of teeth extending from the interior of the hollow handle. A spring holds the teeth together; adjustment is accomplished by using a stud extending through the side plate from the side of the shank to disengage the meshing teeth and slide the shank to a different position. The shank, spring and adjustable jaw are held in by a side plate fastened to the remainder by screws. This design would have been executed as cast / malleable parts.
