Description: |
This early electric motor represents a significant step forward compared to Davenport's more primitive design as seen in patent 132. The multiple poles in both the rotor and the stator are arranged along the axes of nested hollow cylinders, the rotor coils being inside the hollow of the cylinder formed by the stator coils. |
