Description: |
|
This is a machinists scratch gage which uses a compression
fitting for locking the head. It is quite similar to the earlier
J.E. Sherman patent (290807), but rather than pushing the
jam-nut into a conical hole, this design pulls a split
compression fitting through a tapered hole in the head.
