Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Westinghouse Electric & Mfg. Co.
Description: |
| This patent relates to two-phase distribution systems which Westinghouse was researching at the time. Inventor Shallenberger had developed a power usage meter device that was considered by George Westinghouse to be a key component of their electrical distribution system offering; it worked at 133 Hertz which would prove to be an obstacle to the development of a viable polyphase alternate-current distribution system. |
