Description: |
| This invention's specification notes that typical steam engines experience uneven power, which is evened out by either the momentum of the load itself, as in a locomotive, or by the use of a large flywheel. But pumping engines do not have meaningful load momentum and do not use flywheels, and instead a duplex engine design is used to provide more even power. This invention uses a compound-engine design with a single cylinder. |
