        Description: |
| This apparatus is intended for routing grooves in the mitered ends of picture frame members so that an H-shaped fastener can be used to hold the miter together. It was manufactured by the assignee firm; examples are marked with a sticker, "Thumbnail Ⓡ / Cranbury, NJ 08512 / TN 1000". In addition, the Thumbnail name and the patent number are cast in. We have also seen an example that appears to be later and is marked "Nielsen & Bainbridge" and "Thumbnailer". |
