| Description: |  | In large band sawmills, the blades are hammered so that the back of the blade is slightly convex, amounting to about 1/64 to 1/32 inch over five feet. This invention is a micrometer-based gauge that measures this convexity. This style of gauge is still in production and is still known as a Widemire gauge. |  |
