Description:
This patent was used on just about all the important Fender models that had a tremolo mechanism. This patent's tremolo mechanism was intended to overcome erratic intonation problems created by earlier mechanisms. In addition the mechanism was designed to make installing new strings easier, and to avoid the tremolo mechanism transmitting tuning changes from one string to the other strings.
