Description:
A tray designed to fit beneath the 4th connecting rod in the Model T FORD engine, during operations to adjust the connecting rod bearings. The tray appears in a 1928 illustration of GLADACRES tools for maintenance and repair of FORD engines for Model T and Model A. One version of the tray is labeled "SAFETY FIRST CATCH TRAY" in a 1928 write-up.

Fig. 1 of the drawings shows how the tray fit within the engine's structure.
