Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Louis Allis Co.

Description: |
| This patent doesn't seem to be too interesting, covering a fly swatter made of a fan-shaped collection of straight and thin metal wires. But these fly swatters came to be used by drummers as a replacement for drumsticks in ensemble work where the drums would otherwise be too loud. "Brushes" became a standard tool for drummers and the brushes used today for this purpose are virtually identical to those seen in this patent. See patent 2,485,822 for a variation intended specifically for drummers. |
