        Description: |
| A muzzle of twisted heavy wires, with protruding points, and attached with a counter-balancing weight to a halter. The structure allows the muzzle to move out of the way for grazing or watering, but drops the muzzle when the animal's head is lifted. Evolved from Ahlgrim's 1884 patent no. 291,660.
Produced as a series of HOOSIER AUTOMATIC WEANERS, with sizes and weights suitable for calves, yearlings, and full grown cattle. As with most weaners, the sharp points would provide irritation to the cow which was the object of the nursing attempt. |
