Jeff Joslin Vintage Machinery entry for Sidney Tool Co.
Description: |
| This patent covers a means for supporting the horizontal leadscrews and feed shaft on long lathes, and was originally developed for the Sidney Machine Tool Co., which soon fell into financial difficulty and ceased doing business. The application was filed in 1960, presumably by Sidney Machine Tool Co., and was abandoned, and was re-filed in 1969 by Sommerfeld Machine Co., who had bought the rights to Sidney's lathes after Sidney Machine Tool closed their doors. |
