| This is the first and main patent for the ubiquitous Schrader valve as used on virtually every automobile and truck tire. See also patent 555,664. The Schrader Co. had been established in 1844 by August Schrader to manufacture rubber products, and would manufacture bicycle tire and inner tubes using their newly developed valve. Truck and automobile tires quickly followed. |
