Description:
The wrench was manufactured as a combination nut and pipe wrench; the alternative pipe cutter described in the specifications has not been observed.

The wrench and a different form of pipe cutter are the subject of Canadian patent CA-15,972, issued Dec. 18, 1882.

Many of the corresponding wrenches are marked "E.G. FELTHOUSEN;" an 1889 AGE OF STEEL article says "FELTHOUSE and SHERWOOD." The Sherwood Mfg. Co. attribution taken from ads in 1890 - 1891 issues of "POWER."
