Description:
Described in the specifications as a hammer for tacking carpets. The jaw opening is sufficiently large to allow use as a tongs or pliers.

The specifications describe how these differ from the tool in patent no. 55,704.

This tool and the ELY COMBINATION tool (patent no. 413,180) are so similar in appearance they could be confused until both are brought together. The ELY COMBINATION is more robust.
