Listing based on "Priority" of April 26, 1912 noted in British patent GB-191309279, and brief entry in May 22, 1912 "Patentblatt." German Patent Klasse 87(a). Also patented in the U.S. - 1,080,064.
Wrenches of this type are "reputed" to have been used in German submarine service in WWI. Advertised in the early 1920s in Britain and the U.S. German manufacturer unknown.
Gebrauchsmuster "registrations" in PATENTBLATT appear in German patent classification order, rather than in numeric order. The originals were "lost" or "tossed" many years ago. |
