Description: |
| W wire "half muzzle" with protruding points and a counter-balance weight is pivotally mounted to a halter, so that the muzzle is "raised" to allow grazing and watering, but drops to prevent sucking when the animal's head is raised to potential nursing position.
The patent is noted in illustrations for the HOOSIER AUTOMAITC WEANERS produced by BARBEE WIRE and IRON WORKS. Those weaners also include features from Ahlgrim's subsequent patent 353,411. |
