Description:
The patented features are the interiorly and exteriorly threaded body, and the check nut which can turn just enough to lock and unlock the movable jaw. The double threads speed adjustment.

Marketed as BORNSTEIN'S IMPROVED VISE WRENCH. A five-inch pocket wrench version appears in the 1891 Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett catalog as the NEW MAIL adjustable pocket wrench.

See also British patent GB-188802927 and Canadian patent CA-34,466 which appear to represent an intermediate stage between 338,707 and this patent.
