Circumstances of time and location lead to the conclusion these patents were the basis for F.D. Kees "SURPRISE" weaner advertised in the early 1890s and appearing in the 1891 Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co. catalog. In a 1905 "reminisce," Kees commented this weaner was not a financial success. |
